Noni & Jidoo took a needed vacation from home at the end of April. We flew to Nashville where we had an enjoyable week with Uncle Butch & Aunt Reiko. It was great spending time with them.
We went to the Grand Ol' Opry, which that day was held at the Ryman Auditorium, as the Dove Awards were being presented at the Opry House. The Ryman is were the Opry originated. We also visited several other attractions, including the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Grand Old Opry Museum, Cooter's Dukes of Hazard Museum, and we saw a Tribute to The King, starring Elvis impersonater John Beardsley. He was really good. If you get to Nashville, don't miss him! We took a dinner cruise on the Cumberland River aboard the General Jackson. Pretty good buffet, and very good live entertainment. During the week, we got to visit my childhood friends, Frank and Nash Sirignano, who live a couple hundred miles from Nashville, and whom I haven't seen in over 50 years. It was fun renewing old memories with them, and meeting their wives.
The highlight was spending the last few days of our trip visiting our grandson Jerid, Michelle, and our beautiful great-granddaughter Makenna in South Carolina, then on to North Carolina to see our dear friends David & Christine Winnett. All in all, we had a great time, but it was great to get home! Our thanks to all of our hosts, and to Rena for taking us to Albany Airport and to Amy and the kids for picking us up and welcoming us home! Thanks to Hal for taking care of the house and Moxie! And Thank our precious Lord for everything, including our wonderful, loving family! Hope you enjoy the pics.
